The short version

  • Your data is private to your account. We never sell it or share it with advertisers.
  • WHOOP and Strava connections are read-only, and you can disconnect them any time.
  • A coach sees your data only if you invite them, and you can remove them any time.
  • You can edit or delete what you log, and ask us to delete your account.

What Macro is

Macro is a calorie, macro, training and recovery tracker for members in Indonesia, made by Jeremy Subiakto. This policy explains what it stores, why, and the choices you have.

What we store

Only what you give Macro, or what a service you connect sends it:

  • Your account. Your email address, your name, whether you signed up as an athlete or a coach, and your password, kept only as a secure hash and never in plain text.
  • What you log. Foods and meals, water, exercise, workouts, runs, fasting sessions, weigh-ins and body measurements.
  • Progress photos, if you add them. They are downscaled, kept in our database and served only to a signed-in request, never at a public link.
  • From WHOOP and Strava, if you connect them. Daily Recovery, Strain and Sleep with the measures behind them (resting heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, skin temperature, respiratory rate, sleep stages and sleep times), plus imported workouts and runs with their heart rate, heart rate zones and, when Strava has one, the route of the run.
  • Your settings. Daily targets, goals, your time zone, and the city you pick for prayer times in Ramadan mode.
  • How you found us. If a link with a referral or campaign tag brought you here, we keep that tag with your account so we know which channels work.

How we use it

Your data is used to run Macro for you: your diary, trends, forecasts, adaptive target and reports. It is private to your account. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers.

WHOOP and Strava

Connecting is optional. When you connect WHOOP, Macro asks for read-only access to your recovery, cycles, sleep, workouts, body measurements and profile. When you connect Strava, it asks for read-only access to your profile and your activities, including ones you keep private. We use this to show Recovery, Strain and Sleep, to import runs and workouts, and to add the energy you burn to your daily balance.

Disconnecting deletes the access tokens Macro holds, so it can no longer read your account. What was already imported stays in Macro: runs and workouts stay in your diary until you delete them, and your Recovery, Strain and Sleep history stays until you ask us to delete it or your account. You can also remove Macro from the connected apps list in your WHOOP or Strava settings.

Macro is an independent app. It is not developed, sponsored or endorsed by WHOOP or Strava. WHOOP and Strava are trademarks of their owners.

Coaching

A coach can see your data only after you invite them and they accept. Depending on what you allow, a coach can view your logs, suggest or change your goals and macro targets, and write notes for you. You can remove a coach at any time, and their access ends straight away.

AI features

Describing a meal, photo logging and Ask Macro are coming soon. When they are switched on, the text or picture you send, and for Ask Macro a summary of your recent logs and targets, will go to Anthropic's Claude to produce the answer. Nothing is sent unless you use these features, and this policy will be updated first.

Email

Macro can send reminders and reports to the email on your account. You can turn each one off from the email preferences page, which every email links to.

Cookies and storage

Macro uses a cookie to keep you signed in. With “Keep me signed in” it lasts up to a year; without it, it ends with your browser session.

A few other small cookies and browser storage do one job each: remember a referral or campaign tag from your first visit until you sign up, keep a WHOOP or Strava connection secure while you approve it, and remember preferences on your device, such as your home screen, light or dark mode, and whether you have seen the app tour. There are no advertising trackers.

Where it is kept

Your data lives in a hosted Postgres database and is served through standard cloud infrastructure. Every connection is encrypted in transit.

Your choices

  • Edit or delete any entry you log, at any time.
  • Disconnect WHOOP or Strava from Settings.
  • Remove a coach from Settings.
  • Turn emails off from the email preferences page.
  • Ask us to delete your account and everything in it by email.
